I'll share intriguing items I've found here.
This statue is the Soul of Nekhen. It's my favorite piece in the Egyptian Museum Cairo. I thought it was of the god Anubis, but no. It represents the pharaoh's ancestors, and is in the henu position, a sign of allegiance. Along with the falcon-headed Soul of Pe, these often flanked temple entrances and are shown in coronation scenes, reinforcing the pharaoh's right to rule. Photo taken by myself.
